This route also starts from the western side of the mountain,and the descend is via Mweka route.In this route we use tents for sleeping,eating meals and for cooking.Although you have your own private portable toilet,but feel free to use public toilet at the camp,whenever you want.With this itinerary,climbers get enough time to acclimatize before they reach the base camp.

TO Forest camp(2,650m./8,745ft.)
VEGETATION ZONE Forest
You will get up early today for the last climb preparation and early breakfast.Pack the stuff that you are not going to take on the mountain in a sack and handle it to the receptionist,and your valuable including money,should be kept in the safe at the Hotel.The vehicle will be at your hotel at around 07:30,ready to pick up you.From the hotel,you drive first to the last shopping centre,where you can buy some snacks,energy bars or new batteries,if you want.From here,you drive to Londoros gate for registration(passport nos.is required),and all of our luggages will be also unpacked from the vehicle,to be reweighed by the park rangers.You can also have your lunch boxes at this point.This process can last for more or less an hour,depending to how crowded the gate is.After everything is done here,you will drive for about 40mns.to the lemosho starting point,where you will meet your crew and starting your hike through the forest.
The hike this morning will be through the forest for about 1.5hrs.,before you get in the Heather/moor-land zone.The trail is through up and down hills all the way to the top of shira ridge,before walking down and crossing the shira plateau to the camp.You will have lunch wright at the camp.In the evening,if its clear,you can have excellent views fom the camp.
After breakfast,you start your hike across shira plateau,before hiking up to Fischers camp,for a little break.Then you proceed for about 1.30hrs.to Moyr hut campsite for Lunch and overnighting.In the late afternoon,your guide will lead you to the top of the ridge for acclimatization hike.
Today you will be hiking through a curvered loose brocken rocks trail in part of the trail,and you will be walking up and down hills all the way to the camp.You will be like going around the mountain on the north-eastern side,and could see the mountain on the other side.This side is also located not long way to the border to Kenya.And is the dryer side of the mountain.Its one of the best days to acclimatize,as you will be overnighting in a lower camp.Lunch and overnighting,at Moyr camp.
Today is your short hiking day,so you get up a bit late,and begin your hike between 08:00 – 09:00,and walking up and down small hills.On the way,if the sky is clear,you will be able to spot Mawenzi peak(second highest after Kibo).Today is one of the best days to acclimatize as you will be camping in a lower hight.Lunch and overnighting is at Third caves camp.
FROM Third Caves camp(3,900m./12,870ft.)
TO School hut base camp(4,800m./15,840ft.)
VEGETATION ZONE Moorland zone
The trail today is good with no rock/stone curvered,although it is steep,in part of it.After having lunch at the camp,you will go to the excurtion , which takes about 1.5hrs.up and down.Expect to have early dinner for early sleep.After dinner,your guide will meet you for summits briefing.After you get up,make sure that you pack your large duffle as you are not coming back there after the summit.It takes about 2.5 hrs.to reach the junction point with Kibo huts,where you will join other groups from Kibo on their way to the summit.About half an hour later,you will be at Hans Mayer cave,which is the half way point to the rim of the crater.On the way,light-headache and nausea is something to expect,but always after throwing up one feels better again.But you need always to communicate with your guide,and telling him whenever you feel unwell.The last hour to the crater rim is very steep,but switch-back trails help a lot to reduce bodies physical energy.At Gillmans point,you will have been done with the most difficulty/challenging points,the remain trail to the official Summit is much easier and gradual.Your guide will lead you in a comfortable and perfect pace to Uhuru peak,which will take you about half an hour more to Stella point,the one hour more to the highest point,Uhuru peak.At Uhuru peak,you will spend more or less 10mn.,depending with the weather or crowdness of climbers at the summit,for taking photos,enjoying views or drinking water.
Then you will walk buck to stella point,and descending for about 3hrs. to Barafu base camp,and from here you have about 2 hours more to the lunch point,Mweka high camp(3,750m./12,375ft.).You will have lunch here,and your all crew will be waiting for you here.Here you will discuss with your guide,if you are not willing to carry on, then your crew will set tents for you here,and you will overnight here.But if you are fit to go on,then you will have about 1.5hrs.more to the last camp,Mweka camp,for dinner and overnighting.
This is your last day in the mountain.You will be walking down to the gate through the jungle.At the gate you will sign out and your guide will collect your summit certificates .You will drive for about 40mn.to Moshi town,where you will break for lunch in a restaurant.After lunch you will have about 2 hours driving to Arusha town,back to your hotel.
